| Dear Sir/Madam, I am Kelvin Tan. I am final year student of Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology in University of Malaya. Currently, I am doing my thesis with title "Malay Sentence Boundary Detection System". The function of this proposed system is to break a Malay text into sentences based on period, question mark, and exclamation mark. The motivation of this system is to support language translation, such as Malay to French, so that the result will be more accurate. I have questions about quotes used in the following text. As far as I know, it is compulsory to have an opened quote followed by a closed quotes. But why there is only one open quotes in the following sentences?
