| Dear Sir/Madam, I am Kelvin Tan. I am final year student of Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology in University of Malaya. Currently, I am doing my thesis with title "Malay Sentence Boundary Detection System". The function of this proposed system is to break a Malay text into sentences based on period, question mark, and exclamation mark. The motivation of this system is to support language translation, such as Malay to French, so that the result will be more accurate. I have questions about quotes used in the following text. As far as I know, it is compulsory to have an opened quote followed by a closed quotes. But why there is only one open quotes in the following sentences? Berikut merupakan definisi bagi istilah tersebut dalam bahasa inggeris: A business case captures the reasoning for initiating a project or task. It is often presented in a well-structured written document, but may also sometimes come in the form of a short verbal argument or presentation. The logic of the business case is that, whenever resources such as money or effort are consumed, they should be in support of a specific business need. An example could be that a software upgrade might improve system performance, but the "business case" is that better performance would improve customer satisfaction, require less task processing time, or reduce system maintenance costs. A compelling business case adequately captures both the quantifiable and non-quantifiable characteristics of a proposed project. But not many people are aware that the idea has been around in various forms for at least two and a half thousands years. Like us, the ancient Greeks failed to agree about the origins of life. Their cosmologies were profoundly different from our own. There were no heresy laws or inquisitions to fear or a dominant creation story to side-step. Ancient Greek cosmologies were wildly variant : some believed that life had been shaped by gods ; others that had come into being through atoms colliding chaotically. Empedocles – poet, healer, magician and controller of storms as well as a philosopher – produced a surreal foreshadowing of natural selection two and a half thousand years ago on the island that we now call Sicily. He proposed that life had started out as random body parts – eyes, necks, arms, teeth – suspended in primeval soup. Collisions had produced random combinations – men with the heads of cattle ; animals with brances for limbs.
